The 426th Regiment (Leadership) is the Wisconsin National Guard’s educational institution, providing a professional
learning environment, quality instruction and training support. Through the Wisconsin Military Academy, housed at
Fort McCoy, the 426th trains future leaders through its Officers Candidate School and Warrant Officer Candidate
School. It also provides technical education for the basic field artillery Military Occupational Specialty
qualifications and field artillery noncommissioned officer education system, as well as truck driving, combat
lifesaving and other courses. The 426th has an assigned strength of more than 115 Soldiers.

For nearly 40 years the Wisconsin Military Academy has been the standard bearer of excellence in
Army education. Today the 426 Regiment(Leadership) teaches a wide variety of courses designed to
develop the leaders of tomorrow's National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve. Our staff is guided by the

The mission of the 426 Regiment (Leadership) is to provide a professional learning environment, quality instruction and training support for the military and public service community while meeting state and federal missions.
Vision:
Our vision is to increase our volume of diverse training and expand our capacity of courses setting the stage for future technological innovations and facility construction, distancing the 426 Regiment (LDR) from potential competitors and maintaining ourselves as one of the premier training institutes in the U.S. Army.
