Wisconsin National Guard SpeakersThe Wisconsin National Guard can provide speakers for Veteran's Day, Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day public observances, and can also provide speakers for many other appropriate public events. National Guard personnel can speak on a wide variety of topics including: Military Support to Civil Authorities; Military Aviation; Leadership; Education Opportunities; Family Readiness and Support; Military Law; Military History; Military Medicine, Public Relations; and Journalism. Requesters with other topics they feel the Wisconsin National Guard may be able to speak on should call the State Public Affairs Office at (608) 242-3050 to discuss the possibilities. To request a speaker from the National Guard, event organizers should submit a completed DD Form 2536 (Request for Armed Forces Participation in Public Events) to the:
P. O. Box 8111 Madison WI 53708-8111 Fax (608) 242-3051 Email: WI Guard PAO. Requests should be submitted 30-60 days prior to the event. Less than 30 days notice greatly reduces the chance that volunteer support will be available. Requests must include the event's name and date, the sponsoring organization, and the name, telephone, and fax number of the point of contact for the event. In addition, organizations must certify that attendance and/or membership in the organization is not limited on the grounds of race, religion, creed, color, or ethnic background.
