Federal Human Resources Office (J1/Manpower & Personnel)The Federal Human Resources Office (J1/Manpower & Personnel Directorate) provides personnel support services for the Air National Guard and the Army National Guard. This encompasses the full-time Active Guard Reserve(AGR) and Federal Civil Service/Technicians, both "dual status" (excepted or affiliated with the military) & "non-dual status" (competitive) employees.The Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is headquartered in Madison, with locations at Truax Field, Madison; Mitchell Field, Milwaukee; the Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center and the U.S. Property and Fiscal Office, Camp Williams, both located at Camp Douglas; and the Wisconsin Military Academy and the Wisconsin National Guard ChalleNGe Academy, both located at Fort McCoy. There are 60+ armories located in various cities of the state, as well as six Emergency Management regional offices and other military facilities scattered across the state.
