Any current member of the ARNG, USAR, or Regular Army eligible for enlistment in the Wisconsin Army National Guard within the grade(s) of E4 to E6.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Applicants must enlist or commission (as applicable) in the Wisconsin Army National Guard in the grades of: E4 to E6. Individual selected will receive an AGR Initial Tour with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. In order to be considered for this position applicants must meet minimum qualifications as outlined on this announcement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interview and counsel prospective enlistees. Gather individual data and prepare forms and documents incident to an enlistment. Maintain prospect data and files in a computer environment. Establish and maintain contacts with school officials, religious and civic leaders and groups; Present formal/informal talks on advantage of the Army National Guard to civic and service organizations and student bodies. Distribute and display recruiting publicity materials. Responsible for assisting units in their plans and programs to enlist quality individuals. Responsible for the technical assistance of retention/attrition management programs for the organizations with they support. Specific areas of responsibility are designated through written and oral instructions. Work is performed in compliance with regulations, policies and procedures. Evaluate the retention/attrition environment. Prepares and presents classes and/or briefings on ARNG programs, requirements, and the opportunities and benefits of membership for soldiers, family members, employers and others as required. Prepares and conducts training/seminars/meetings for attrition management personnel, officers, NCOs and other key personnel. Provides family assistance during mobilization. Monitors and assists in matters pertaining to employer support of the Guard and Reserve program. Provides retention interview training.
POSITION COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
The individual(s) must be or able to become a member of the Wisconsin (ARMY) National Guard and qualify for and be placed in the following compatible MOS/AOC: 00F3
MINIMUM APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- All RRB hires that have never served in a RRNCO role will be hired in an OTOT capacity. Current RRB OTOTs will be considered for their initial AGR tour. WI onboard AGRs will be considered for AGR reassignment order for selected duty location, not to exceed 3 years.
- 00F MOS Immaterial Position: Available to any MOS but MUST become SQI 4 within 12 months of hire.
- A minimum score of 110 in aptitude GT waiverable to 100 and 96 in aptitude area ST on ASVAB.
- Must be able to produce a favorable National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC).
- Must complete a Department of the Army Sensitive Duty Assignment Eligibility Questionnaire (DA 7424).
- Must complete, and provide, a Behavioral Health Interview (DA Form 3822) to local RRBN CDR.
- Must receive favorable results after completing a DD Form 369.
- Must have favorable results from Department of the Army Inspector General (DAIG); Criminal Investigation Division (CID); Office of Military Personnel File Review; Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP).
- Must not have a Type I Offense (See HQDA EXORD 193-14, Annex B).
- Must have a waiver for a Type II Offense (See ALARACT 188/2014, 3.D.10.C.).
- Must not be listed on the National Sex Offender Public Website.
- Must not be under 12 months of stabilization for EPS selection IAW 600-8-19.
- Must not be under 18 months of stabilization for an AGR Initial Tour IAW NGR 600-5.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLYING: The documents listed WILL be submitted “AS A MINIMUM”. If any of the required documents are not reasonably available to you, a brief letter will be submitted citing the documents missing with a short explanation necessary to certify the soldier as eligible. Failure to do so may result in a finding of ineligibility and may cause the applicant to lose consideration for this position.
- Cover Letter: Must include name, rank, job announcement number, position title, duty status (traditional, technician, AGR, etc.) for which you are applying, and contact information (i.e. Phone numbers and an e-mail address). Additionally, the cover letter must provide an explanation for any missing documents within the remainder of the application. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

- NGB Form 34-1: Application for AGR Position, dated 11 November 2013. All applicants must complete the NGB 34-1, including on-board AGRs. Ensure the form is signed and dated.
- SF 181: Ethnicity and Race Identification. Form is required for packet, however completion of form is voluntary. Information is used for hiring board composition only.
- Record Brief (ERB/ORB/SRB): Service members should review for accuracy and include the most-recent version available. Contact your unit’s Readiness NCO for assistance, if necessary.
- ASVAB Scores: MEPCOM 680, MEPCOM 714, DD 1966, Transcripts, REDD Report, Prior Service Record or alternate documentation of ASVAB scores. Applicants who do not possess the advertised MOS/AOC must include verification of required ASVAB scores to obtain the advertised MOS/AOC.
- RPAS Statement: NGB 23A. Service members may download from iPERMS or consult their Readiness NCO for assistance.
- Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) Report: Applicants must include most-recent IMR, which indicates current PULHES. PULHES must meet minimum qualifications for the MOS/AOC associated with advertised position. If recently corrected medical deficiencies are not shown on IMR, service members must coordinate with their units to have records updated. Ensure this information is also annotated on the cover letter.
- Evaluation Reports (OER/NCOER): Include no less than three most-recent NCOERs/OERs, covering a period of three years. When less than three evaluation reports exist, include all available evaluations and include any missing documents in the cover letter. Recommend including letters of recommendation when less than 3 years of rated time is available.
- DD 214s: All copies. Service members may download from iPERMS of consult their Readiness NCO for assistance.
- DA Form 705: Applicants must submit their most recent record DA 705 (ACFT). Service members for whom favorable personnel actions have or should have been suspended (flagged), will not be considered for AGR positions.
- Height and Weight Statement/Memorandum: Service members must provide a current (within 6 months), endorsed statement verifying their compliance with the Army Body Composition Program (ABCP). Service members for whom favorable personnel actions have been suspended (flagged), will not be considered for AGR positions.
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (LOR): Applications may include letters of recommendation when applicable and/or appropriate. LORs may not be used to substitute missing documents.
