Chief Master Sergeant Thomas M. Yapundich

Command Chief Master Sergeant Thomas M. Yapundich served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Wisconsin Air National Guard where he was responsible to the Deputy Adjutant General for Air for a variety of matters related to policies and actions affecting Air National Guard personnel.

CMSgt Yapundich joined the Air Force in 1967 and deployed throughout Asia performing maintenance on radar systems. In 1971, he joined the 128th Air Control Squadron, Milwaukee, Wis. He served in the newly established satellite communication section, where he was later promoted to Communication Superintendent. In 1994, CMSgt Yapundich was assigned as Chief of Maintenance prior to being appointed as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Wisconsin Air National Guard in 2001.

CMSgt Yapundich was inducted into the Wisconsin Air National Guard Hall of Fame in 2012.
