Brigadier General Gerald C. Olesen served as the Assistant adjutant general for Air, Wisconsin Air National Guard. He began his military career by enlisting in the Air Force in 1967. After completing four years on active duty, he transferred to the Air National Guard where he later received his commission as a second lieutenant in 1978 after graduating from the Academy of Military Science.
Prior to his position as the Assistant Adjutant General, he served as an Executive Support Staff Officer, Mission Support Squadron Commander and Combat Support Squadron Commander.
He was inducted into the Wisconsin Air National Guard Hall of Fame January 2014.
