Brigadier General Gary L. Ebben

Brigadier General Gary L. Ebben was the Assistant Adjutant General for Air, Wisconsin National Guard. He served as the chief advisor to the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to the programs, policies, operations, management and command and control of the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

He provided staff assistance, guidance and direction concerning Air National Guard personnel, administration, training, recruiting and retention, incentives and budgetary matters. Brig Gen Ebben was responsible for more than 2,300 Wisconsin Air National Guard personnel serving in two flying wings and three geographically separated units including a Combat Readiness Training Center.

Brig Gen Ebben received his commission in 1982 after graduating from the Air National Guard Academy of Military Science. He is a command pilot with more than 3,000 flying hours, including 275 combat hours.

He was inducted into the Wisconsin Air National Guard Hall of Fame January 2023.
