Throughout his distinguished career, Maj Gen Matera held various positions of responsibility, making significant contributions to the mission and success of the Wisconsin Air National Guard. His exemplary service earned him numerous accolades and the respect of his fellow Airmen.

Maj Gen Matera’s patriotism, professionalism, and tireless devotion to duty make him a true role model and a deserving recipient of the Wisconsin Air National Guard Hall of Fame honor.

He was inducted on 30 May 1993.
