Major General Jerald D. Slack was the Adjutant General of Wisconsin. He was responsible for both the federal and state missions of the Wisconsin Army and Air National Guard.
Maj Gen Slack graduated from high school in Pekin, Ill. He attended college at Purdue University, University of Illinois and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Bradley University, Peoria, Ill, in 1959.
He enlisted in the Illinois Air National Guard in 1959. In 1961, he transferred to the Wisconsin Air National Guard and was commissioned.
Maj Gen Slack was a command pilot with more than 3,200 hours of flying time. He has flown T-37, T-33, F-89, F-102, O-2, OA-37, A-10 and KC-135 aircraft.
He was inducted into the Wisconsin Air National Guard Hall of Fame January 2019.
