Who May Apply:
Employees within the DMA who are in a pay range counterpart to 81-03 and those at a higher level for voluntary demotion. PAY:
For current permanent state employees, pay will be set in accordance with the State Comp Plan.
JOB DUTIES:
The DMA Security Director position performs high level program and policy work as a subject matter expert responsible for the administration and execution of the Department of Military Affairs (DMA) Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) Security Programs in accordance with Army Cooperative Agreements (CA). The position will supervise DMA Security staff and the Antiterrorism Program Coordinator (ATPC). The DMA Security Director will advise on state security matters and resource protection of property and personnel serviced by DMA. The position will work closely with all state and military leadership located within DMA and will research and develop advanced job training, direction, guidance, and technical assistance to DMA JFHQ Security Supervisors. The DMA Security Director will be the Operations Security Program Manager for DMA and perform duties as the law enforcement liaison for DMA.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who meet minimum qualifications will have experience with:
- Local, state, or federal law enforcement and/or security management experience.
- Supervisory or lead worker duties leading and overseeing a team of individuals (hiring, dismissing, leading, coaching, performance management, delegating work, etc.)
- Working with, interpreting, and providing guidance on policies and procedures.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, well-qualified candidates will also have experience with the following preferred qualifications:
- Working in a military environment or experience working with military rules, regulations, etc.
- Working with Cooperative Agreements.
- Working with the Army Protection Program.
- Working with State of Wisconsin and/ or federal budget procedures.
