PAY

For current permanent state employees, pay will be set in accordance with the State Comp Plan.

JOB DUTIES

The Vetting and Credentialing Coordinator performs comprehensive program and policy analysis and related research, program planning and evaluation of the vetting and credentialing program for the Department of Military Affairs (DMA) and the Wisconsin National Guard (WING). The position is responsible for meeting program goals, development and planning of programs for facilities and internal DMA entities.

Develop policies to implement vetting procedures and analyze the current and projected effectiveness of the program. This position will identify issues, recommend and execute courses of action in achieving an effective and efficient system.

The primary duty of the Vetting and Credentialing Coordinator is to serve as a subject matter expert for vetting support functions for the DMA under the direction of the DMA State Security Director. This position will advise and support DMA vetting and credentialing on statewide matters and access to property serviced by DMA. This position will be the DMA contact for credentialing of SSID/WICAMS/CJIS reporting and Access Control Systems (ACS). This position will research and develop systems job training and provide technical assistance to WING units throughout the State of Wisconsin. The Vetting and Credentialing Coordinator will consult with military and state leadership to ensure the availability and maintenance of resources for mission accomplishment and the enhancement of National Defense in support of Department of War (DoW), Army Protection Programs and State of Wisconsin statutory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates for this position will have the following:

  • Experience with Vetting & Credentialing processes.
  • Experience with Access Control Systems and databases.
  • Training or experience in creating and updating policies and procedures.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
